Studio Policies

Here are the simple guidelines and policies that help us uplift our community.

Privacy Policy

Effective communication with our staff, students, and workshop attendees requires email and/or texting. If you’d like to be added to our email list, do so here. If you’d like to receive text messages from us, check the box for that when you register for your class. EVERY email we send has an unsubscribe button. Texts are similar. You can always send an email to opt out of any/all of our communication.

We never sell, trade, or give away any of your personal information to anyone at anytime. You are not required to share your contact info with anyone who attends class with you. However, we ask for permission during our class registration process if we can share your contact info with your classmates.

Pricing & Classes

  • Yes! We're very flexible. Purchase what makes sense for you — a full series, 6 classes, or 4 classes. Classes are pro-rated, so the more you purchase, the less expensive each class is. As of September 2025, we no longer offer individual class purchases.

  • Yes. Please use all of your classes before the end of our 2-month cycles. Class purchases do not roll over to future class series.

  • We don't offer refunds for missed classes, but we do allow students to attend a make-up class that same week. Make-up classes are a great opportunity to improvise with students at different levels — lean into it! Please get in touch with your instructor to get the details or call up the studio: 971.266.GRIN

    We can offer a pro-rated credit for 2 or more missed classes due to life events. Drop us a note via our contact page, explain your situation, and we'll work out a solution together.

  • No, but maintain a generous partial and full scholarship program based on individual need. We never turn anyone away from our classes or workshops for lack of funds — every arrangement is different. Reach out via our contact page and explain your situation. We'll get back to you with a package you can afford.

Health & Safety

Virtual Classes

No health protocols are required for virtual classes. Show up as healthy or as sick as you like!

In-Person Classes

We ask everyone to help protect our community's health by staying home if you think you’re sick or if you have any COVID, flu, or cold symptoms.

Since reopening after the COVID pandemic, we haven't had a single outbreak traced to our studio. We'd love to keep that record intact — thank you for doing your part.

Photo & Video Release

Photography and video are sometimes a central part of what we do. We use them as powerful teaching tools and as memories for our students and corporate clients. By participating in our classes, workshops, and performances, all students & clients agree that they:

  1. Willingly participate in classes, workshops, or other services provided by Using Theater LLC, doing business as Change Through Play.

  2. Grant permission and consent for Change Through Play to use photographs and videos for any legal purpose.

  3. Understand there is no payment, royalty, fee, or compensation for this release.

Referral Program

We love referrals and reward them. When you refer someone to Change Through Play, you'll receive a discount code to use toward a future class or workshop purchase. How it works:

  • Have your referral list you when they register

  • Referral discount codes are valid for 6 months from the date issued

  • Codes can only be used once

  • You may use the code yourself or gift it to a friend, colleague, or family member

  • 1 referral = 25% off; 2 referrals = 50% off; 3 referrals = 75% off; 4+ referrals = 100% off.
